MEET THE AMBASSADORS OF LIBERAL ARTS!

The College of Liberal Arts Student Ambassadors ‘tell their stories’ to prospective students and their parents in a variety of on- and off-campus recruiting events. They strive to present the ‘student face’ of the college and share their knowledge and love of their academic and extracurricular interests at Oregon State University.

Alison Blazer is a senior in Speech Communications and a minor in Spanish. She studied abroad in Chilean, Chile where she got to use the language every day and connect with the local community. She also participated in the Cl@se program her junior year, works in the International Programs office, and co-founded Lambda Pi Eta which is the national honors society for Speech Communications.

 

Breanna Balleby is a junior studying English and International Studies and minoring in French. She has studied abroad in Angers, France and plans to go to London, England this next summer. She is also in the University Honors College and works in the office as an ambassador for the program. She recently became a French tutor and began working on her thesis project.

 

David Nauss is a senior studying Political Science where he hopes to pursue a law degree in San Diego. He is helping a professor with her book on law and the media and he is interning at the Oregon state capitol this year. David is also active in the Newman Center and created a fraternity based on the values of the center.

 

Kaelynn Cochrane is a fifth year senior working on her degree in New Media Communications (called Digital Communication Arts now).  She has worked on many large OSU events like Flat Tail music festival and currently has her own radio show on KBVR that focuses on relationships. Kaelynn can also be seen working for the OSU TOUR office or with her sorority sisters.

 

Julissa Rachor is a fifth year senior working on three degrees; Political Science, International Studies, Economics. She has worked in Washington, D.C. as an intern as well as working with local crime and justice departments. Julissa is active in her sorority and is the Multicultural Director in ASOSU.

 

Logan Pedersen is a junior this year and is majoring in Psychology. He is also minoring in Sociology with an option in Crime and Justice. He hopes to work with the FBI in the future and uses his current psychological research to understand people. He works under Dr. Lien in the area of cognitive psychology. Logan is also active in Ballroom dancing and Young Life. He recently started the Psych Club here on the OSU campus.

 

Katy Krieger is a senior seeking an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English. She has been working for two psychology research labs her entire time at OSU and has presented her original work at national conferences. She is also a research ambassador and the student worker in the CLA advising office. She will be returning to OSU next year as a graduate student in the MAIS program where she will focus more on her research in language, psychology and social interactions.

 

Kate Virden is a senior getting her degree in English. She interned in D.C. and is very active with the OSU College Republicans. She is working on an Oregon campaign after graduation and hopes to get into politics in the future. Kate has also worked with ASOSU, the Daily Barometer, the OSU Marching Band and the CLA Dean’s Office.

 

Jesseanne Pope is a junior in the Liberal Studies program where she wants to focus on social justice. She is very passionate about the OSU community and works with the UHDS program. Jesseanne is currently in London, England studying abroad and having all kinds of exciting adventures.

 

Morgan Willer is a senior studying History and Education. She is passionate about her teaching career and is headed to the College of Charleston to get her Master’s in History. She is also in a sorority and is active in her chapter’s philanthropy. Morgan has interned abroad with Camp Adventure in both Greece and Germany. She recently began working as an athletic study facilitator.
