The Oregon State University Anthropology Program is pleased to announce the 2017 Ethnographic Field School (ANTH 460/560) for 6 credits. In this experiential learning opportunity, undergraduate and graduate students from any field can learn about and develop practical skills for operating in different social and cultural contexts. On campus and Ecampus students are welcome to participate.
Using Corvallis as home base, we will spend time in neighboring rural communities, engaging in team-based ethnographic fieldwork. The field portion of the course will run September 6th through 16th, though you will have the remainder of Fall Term to analyze data and write up results. This year's field school will focus on political concerns in and of rural Oregon.
