At the January 2017 Annual Meeting for the Society of Personality and Social Psychology, SPS Major Amber Fultz won the “Best Poster” competition for undergraduate student submissions.  This society is the largest organization of social and personality psychologists with over 6,000 dues paying members.  Approximately 4,000 members attend this national/international conference annually.

Amber Fultz competed against hundreds of research posters submitted from all over the world. Her research was selected last November as one of 40 “Finalists” that competed at the conference for the ultimate reward.  Her poster, which was selected from the finalists was on permanent display throughout the conferences, which was quite the honor because the other 1000 posters on display at this year’s conference were limited to their 2 hour long poster session.    This award came with a $100 prize.   This research is collaborative project with Dr. William Smart and Engineering student, Duy Nguyen.
