Open Letter of Solidarity from the Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Faculty We, the faculty of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Oregon State University, support the activism of OSU students in response to the recent targeting of Indigenous people and women of color.  While these incidents have garnered university and public attention, we also know that they occur in larger contexts of racism, sexism, settler colonialism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, sizeism, xenophobia, and Christian supremacy that give rise to the possibilities of such statements. We recognize that these blatant forms of oppression exist alongside more subtle, everyday microaggressions. As the #itooamOSU movement demonstrates, these are far from isolated incidents. We reaffirm our commitments to ending all forms of oppression and support student activism around these issues. We are committed to solidarity with movements both on and off campus that are working for social justice and transformation, and to addressing these multiple forms of oppression in each of our classes and in our curriculum as a whole.
