Three scholarships will be awarded to Pre-GD students accepted into the Professional Graphic Design Program for the Fall 2018 term. Current OSU students enrolled in the GD 126 course and in good academic standing will be automatically considered for one of these scholarships. Students will be notified regarding scholarships at the time of their acceptance into the Professional Graphic Design program.
One scholarship will be awarded to a Pro-GD major entering the second year of the Graphic Design Professional Cohort with a minimum major GPA of 3.25.
Other scholarships and grant opportunities are available through the university. It is suggested that students apply early for financial aid and admission to the University in order to be considered for these university scholarships. It is to your advantage to apply early for admission to the university in order to be eligible and considered for other scholarships. Oregon State University’s Fairbanks Gallery is hosting a summer exhibit of current work by OSU art faculty members through Aug. 30 in Fairbanks Hall, 220 SW 26th St., Corvallis.
The exhibit includes works by Evan Baden, Michael Boonstra, Julia Bradshaw, Anna Fidler, Julie Green, Yuji Hiratsuka, Shelley Jordon, Andrew Myers, Andrew Nigon, Kerry Skarbakka, Katherine Spinella, Matt Williams, and John Whitten. It will showcase an array of styles and approaches to creating art, with work shown in areas of photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking and video.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extra hours during the Corvallis Arts Walk: Thursday, July 19, 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 16, 4-8 p.m.
