2016-2017 OSU PMTE cohort.

The Professional Music Teacher Education (PMTE) program at Oregon State University is a competitive, selective, and rigorous program of study designed for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in music or music education.  The program results in a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and an endorsement toward an Oregon Teaching License.  Candidates must also successfully complete and pass the edTPA portfolio assessment during the course of their student teaching internship, which is scored by external evaluators.

Time Frames and Deadlines

January 3, 2018  -  PMTE Program Application Deadline

January 3, 2018  -  OSU Graduate School Application Deadline 

(The official deadline for the graduate school is different, but we kindly request that you submit it at the same time as the PMTE application)

February  -  Interviews and Auditions at the OSU main campus

March  (early)  -  Notification of acceptance and scholarship offers

June (late)  -  Enrollment in summer term classes on campus begins
