Fitting in the Bacc Core & Liberal Arts Core
The DCA major is very flexible (meaning there are only a few sequenced classes – classes that must be taken in a specific order), so it is possible to complete the major in a timely manner by taking a variety of DCA, Bacc Core, Liberal Arts Core, and B.A. or B.S. requirements each term. BFA students balance DCA production courses, core major courses and Bacc Core classes. The DCA major allows for space in your degree to include a minor or a second major or take quite a few elective credits. There is also room in the curriculum for students to participate in education abroad, such as study abroad and international internships, as well as the option of completing an internship in the United States.
*NOTE* Please try not to schedule more than two four credit production or studio courses a term, they often involve a lot of work outside of class as well as in-class assignments.
