Solar Filter Workshop

Led by Corvallis-based Astrophotographer Tom Carrico and Assistant Professor of Art and New Media Communications, Julia Bradshaw

Make and keep a solar filter for your camera and learn how to safely photograph the solar eclipse in all its phases.

WORKSHOP:

Make a solar filter for your camera and learn how to safely photograph the solar eclipse in all its phases. Practice taking photographs of the sun when its position is at a similar height, latitude, and longitude to the solar eclipse on August 21st.

Workshops start at 8:00 am in Fairbanks Hall and end around 11 am. Meet in Fairbanks 204 on the Oregon State University campus. All materials to make a solar-filter for your camera will be supplied.

Your camera: DSLR (recommended), cell phone, compact camera, or mirrorless camera

Tri-pod (if you have one)
