The Latin language has been in existence for over 2,750 years compared to 1,000 years for English.
It was the language of scholars including Sir Issac Newton, Thomas Jefferson and William Shakespeare.
Studying Latin and learning the basis for many of our grammatical rules can reduce the time and difficulty of learning almost any other subject.
Latin is very exact and developing an understanding of the mechanics and structure enhances your accuracy, organization and analytical skills.
Courses offered: First-year Latin: Latin 111, Latin 112, Latin 113
Identify grammatical constructions and demonstrate the ability to parse any given word therein.
Compose simple English sentences in Latin.
Translate a variety of Latin passages into English.
