Chad Rodgers, in his first year at OSU as Instructor/Technical Director, came from Oklahoma State University where he was Scene Lab Manager and Assistant Technical Director for the Department of Theatre. Chad received his bachelor’s degree in his native state from Idaho State University. He began his career in education, teaching high school theatre and speech but decided to leave secondary education to pursue his master’s degree.
In May 2014, Chad graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with his M.F.A. in Technical Production. While at North Carolina, Chad worked closely with UNC’s undergraduate program as well as a Lort D professional theatre, PlayMakers Repertory Company. During his travels, Chad has worked with theatres in Florida, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, Idaho and North Carolina. Chad’s technical interests are in theatrical rigging, metal fabrication and motor control.
