Biography

Isaac Andrew is a lover of music in its many forms and is passionate about sharing that love with others through performance and education. He teaches tuba and euphonium at Oregon State University and performs in Chintimini Brass (ChintiminiBrass.com). He grew up in Beaverton, Oregon, earning degrees in tuba performance and music education from Azusa Pacific University and California State University Long Beach, and returned to Oregon where he directed bands at South Albany High School and Calapooia Middle School for ten years.

During his time in the Los Angeles area, Isaac freelanced on tuba performing in a variety of ensembles including orchestra, wind band, brass quintet, jazz, Mexican banda, and bluegrass. He has conducted youth orchestras, jazz ensembles and wind bands on the west coast and on tour.

In addition to being a church musician on bass and percussion, Isaac is a regular tuba performer in the Willamette Valley. He is on the substitute list for the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Newport Symphony, and the Britt Music Festival. Isaac resides in Albany, Oregon with his wife and children.
