Hello, I'm Tristen Shay, Head Advisor for the College of Liberal Arts. I love being an advisor here, but even more I love assisting students in finding their educational and co-curricular passions. Feel free to ask me questions about Baccalaureate or Liberal Arts Core requirements, campus resources, or general questions. I have bachelor degrees in Art History and Gender Studies from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and I hold my graduate degree in College Student Services Administration from OSU - Go Beavs!
In my free time I enjoy reading, playing with my kids, cheering on my beloved Seahawks and (semi-successfully) attempting to teach my cats to do tricks.
Hello, I am Ashlei Edgemon. I enjoy working with students as they navigate their educational experience, knowing that they will go on to make an impact on countless lives. Prior to joining the College of Liberal Arts, I have held roles throughout the country focused on transfer students, students from underrepresented populations, academic initiatives, and community partnership development. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and my master’s degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Outside of work, you can find me spending time with friends and family, out in nature, reading, cooking up new recipes, doing agility with my house rabbit, or volunteering in the community.
Hi, my name is Tam Ward. I have lived my life here in the Willamette Valley, and it is an honor to work and contribute to the place that raised and continues to nurture me. I first came to Oregon State through the Upward Bound program, and I am a graduate of the Educational Opportunities Program. On the path to my degrees, I learned lessons that deepened my academic experience, like the importance of relationship and being true to who I am, what I value, and where I come from. Being a first-generation, non-traditional student has informed my role as an academic advisor. I appreciate the opportunity my position affords me to pay forward the mentorship and support I have so generously received during my time at Oregon State.
I look forward to partnering with you as you navigate this often crazy, sometimes stressful, and thrilling adventure.
