While some of our processes have changed, we are still open and here to assist you from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.  Our office is physically open from 9am to 12pm, Monday through Friday, and we have enabled a Microsoft Teams chat room to act as our virtual lobby (the lobby works best with Chrome or Firefox) so you can connect with us in the way that works best for you.  The virtual lobby will be staffed during our regular business hours. We are also available by phone (541-737-0561) and email (LiberalArts@oregonstate.edu). There is a lot of uncertainty these days, but we are here to help.  As always, our advisors can help you with course scheduling, enrollment issues, changing majors, and academic problems.  They are also your best source for guidance in navigating university resources that can help you with more personal issues.

Virtual Drop-in Appointments

Drop-in appointments can be used for help adding or dropping a class, declaring a major or minor, or getting a quick answer about bacc core or other graduation requirements. To “drop-in”, go to our Microsoft Teams Virtual Lobby (the lobby works best with Chrome or Firefox) or give us a call.  We will either quickly answer your question, guide you to a private appointment via chat, Zoom, or phone, or, for more involved issues, make a regular appointment for you.

Major Advising

The central CLA Advising office is happy to help you with any issue, but our main focus is on first year students as well as Baccalaureate Core and CLA specific requirements.  Rising sophomores and above who have issues concerning their major requirements should contact their Major Advisor. All advisors are working remotely using phone and/or Zoom.  Please refer to the Finding My Advisor resource page for online scheduling and phone scheduling options.

Technical Help

Spring classes will be offered in a remote format for the duration of Spring term.  For technical assistance related to remote learning and advising, including Canvas and Zoom, please refer to the Keep Learning site.
