Unclassified .50 - 1.0 FTE Benefits - This site provides an overview of your benefits as an OSU employee. You must enroll for health benefits within 30-days of your hire date or first eligibility date. Health benefits are generally effective the first of the month after your hire date and completion of the enrollment process.

Benefits Help Sessions - Once a month, the Office of Human Resources Benefits Team offers a drop-in help session to answer questions regarding benefits for employees that are new hires and/or newly eligible for benefits. There is no formal presentation.

The Benefits staff will assist you with:

  • Health insurance questions (medical, dental, vision)
  • Optional insurance questions (optional life, disability, long-term care insurance and flexible spending accounts)
  • Enrollment – Online or Paper
  • How to locate benefit information online
  • Retirement/pension plan questions
  • Questions regarding other services (Staff Fee benefit, leaves, etc.)

Drop in any time during the help sessions.

Employee On-line Services - This service is available to you once your personnel record is set-up in the employee database. Find your personnel data on-line at the above link; view your information for accuracy. Your first login will be your employee ID number and your General Access PIN (GAP).

  • Pay, Payroll Deductions Information - Payday is the last working day of each month.  9 month faculty receive ½ month of pay for September and ½ month for June.

  • Travel Reimbursement Request System (TRES) – Request reimbursement for OSU related travel.

Each month, in many units, an office staff member will send an email asking for your timesheet.   Please respond promptly by signing the time sheet and indicating if you used any leave.   You receive 8 hours of sick leave per month for 1.00 FTE.  Other FTE is pro-rated. 9 month faculty do not receive/accrue vacation leave. Any time you cancel class, you must use leave for that course.  If you teach one course on a day you cancel class, you must use 8 hours sick leave.  If you teach two courses and cancel one course, you must use 4 hours sick leave, etc.

OSU ID card - The OSU ID Card is the official identification card for students, faculty, and staff. It functions as a library card, access card, and more. The OSU ID card grants you access to Corvallis Transit, Dixon Recreation Center (with paid membership), and some OSU Athletic events.  You will need your OSU ID card to charge work-related Bookstore purchases to your university accounts. Your OSU ID Card can become a campus debit card for purchasing food at all campus food locations and for photocopies at the Valley Library when money is added online at

Take a copy of your “Welcome to the University” letter which has your ID number listed to the OSU ID Center, located in the Kerr Building B094 during office hours (M-F 8 am – 5 pm) – 541-737-2493

Parking Permit - Obtain permit for parking in Staff Lots after September first from OSU Parking Services – located in Adams Hall – 15th Street. - Ph. 541-737-2583.  Your permit allows you to park in all green (student) and red (staff) parking zones.

Faculty and Staff Fitness Program - OSU Offers a Faculty/Staff fitness program, averaging 30-40 classes enrolling 700 plus faculty & staff of the university as well as spouses/partners. In addition to the "formal" activity classes, FSF organizes companion activities & programs that orbit our central "mission" -- enhancement of individual wellness/fitness. A number of these are promoted to attract university personnel inside & outside the activity class participants. 

Dixon Recreation Center -  Dixon Recreation Center is located behind Moreland Hall on 26th Street.   OSU faculty, emeriti faculty, staff, associates & affiliates may purchase daily, term, 9 month or annual membership.

KidSpirit Youth Program - KidSpirit, which is sponsored by the College of Health and Human Sciences on campus, provides programs for children ages 2 years through high school.  They offer year-round instruction in Gymnastics, Lacrosse, TennisRock Climbing, & American Red Cross Certifications (Baby SittingFirst Aid & CPR, and Scouts). During the school year, KidSpirit also facilitates ACES on NO-SCHOOL days, Parents' Night Out on two weekend nights a month, and hosts PARTIES! In the summer, KidSpirit runs a Summer Day Camp that offers camps designed specifically for grades K-2nd3rd-5th6th-8th and 9th-12th. It also has specialty camps includingArt CampNature Camp and SKIES (science camp)!

Athletic Tickets - Athletic tickets can be purchased from the Box Office on 26th Street or through the OSU Athletics website.
