I was born and raised in Pamekasan, a small town in Indonesia. I have been to some big cities for study and work, but I really love being in a small town with amazing people and nature. Before coming to the US for my PhD, I was teaching at the Sumbawa University of Technology, in Sumbawa, Nusa Tenggara Barat, a beautiful place, where you can find beaches and mountains. I have my undergraduate degree in Economics from Universitas Indonesia, and master of public policy from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea. After I graduated from my undergraduate degree, I worked for a congressman in the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. I gained some practical experience on drafting laws especially in economics and finance, for example the law of currency and the law of financial service authority. My research experience includes digital economy, monetary economics, and industrial economics. My research interest will focus on energy policy.
