Anam is a Fulbright scholar and PhD candidate in Public Policy at Oregon State University. With a background in engineering, Anam brings a systems-oriented perspective to policy studies. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering from Pakistan. During her master’s studies, she participated in an exchange program at the Energy Policy Lab at Arizona State University, where she worked on solar innovation diffusion in Pakistan. This experience inspired her transition from engineering to the interdisciplinary study of energy and climate policy.

Anam’s research focuses on climate governance and policy discourse in developing countries, with a particular emphasis on Pakistan. Her work explores how governments and stakeholders frame climate change and how these narratives shape national policy responses. She is passionate about communicating sustainability issues, working across disciplines, and understanding how people and policies can work together for a resilient future. Outside academia, she enjoys music and spending time with her young family.
