Brandy has written for the lifestyle website The Manual and had her poetry published by Ghost City Press. She is currently writing her debut novel.
Before working as an educator, Brandy spent eighteen years as a wardrobe stylist in the music industry. She worked with clients like Jack White, Green Day, Karen O, Beck, and Nine Inch Nails; directors like David Lynch, Autumn de Wilde, and Floria Sigismondi; and on events like the Oscars and Grammys. She was the lead stylist on hundreds of projects in multiple media including music videos, album and magazine photo shoots, television and red carpet appearances, live performances, commercials, and documentaries. She travelled with her clients throughout the US, Europe, and South America.
Brandy is also a songwriter and has self-recorded two albums in addition to a single produced by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Her song “Dark Horse” was featured in the film “The Motel Life.”
