Carly Lettero is an interdisciplinary researcher, writer, and community organizer. She is the program manager for the Spring Creek Project where she envisions and manages programming including projects like the documentary film Bedrock Rights, in-person gatherings like the Chrysalis Symposium, and online series like Music to Save Earth's Wild Songs, among dozens of other gatherings and events. She also oversees Spring Creek Project's residency programs including the Cabin at Shotpouch Creek and Long-Term Ecological Reflections at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest.
Carly is also the program manager for the Environmental Arts and Humanities Initiative where she works with graduate students to help them imagine and achieve their academic and career goals. She teaches Perspectives in Environmental Arts and Humanities (EAH 411/511), Proposal Development (EAH 507), and Professional Development (EAH 508). She also co-teaches the Environmental Arts and Humanities Field Class (EAH 506) with Jacob Hamblin.
Carly has dedicated her career to environmental work and has served with environmental non-profits for nearly two decades including the Corvallis Environmental Center and the Great Basin Institute. She is lives in Corvallis with her husband and their two young children, and she hikes steep trails and swims cold rivers every chance she gets.
