Dennis Bennett teaches technical writing and thesis and dissertation writing. His research interests focus on design thinking and wicked problems, especially the ways in which the use of design thinking promotes analysis, critical thinking, and the creation of novel problem solving approaches. At the graduate level, Dennis' research focuses on creating cognitive, metacognitive, and rhetorical frameworks that support graduate students as they transition from knowledge consumers to expert practitioners, independent researchers, and scholars. 

As Assistant Director of Writing, Dennis works to support WR 121z, first-year writing, and, more broadly, the creation of a culture of writing at OSU.
