Kate Carter-Cram is a Social Policy PhD student in the School of Public Policy at Oregon State University. She is originally from Boise, Idaho, and her research interests are centered around development policy, economic inequities, gender, and labor. Kate graduated magna cum laude from Boise State University in 2021 with her B.A. in global studies with an emphasis in international relations. While at BSU, she earned minors in economics and French and a certificate in user research. Kate was also named a BSU Top 10 Scholar and Graduating Student Leader. In 2023, Kate graduated from Cornell University with her M.S. in applied economics and management, with an emphasis in international development economics. While at Cornell, she also served as president of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly and worked as a writing instructor with the Grand Challenges Program. In her free time, Kate enjoys traveling, hiking and kayaking, and watching TV/movies.
