Dr. Melissa Cunningham is a licensed psychologist and school psychologist with a career that incorporates both academic teaching and clinical work. She has been teaching at the college level for over 20 years both online and in-person. Her areas of expertise include childhood development, psychological disorders of childhood, learning, memory, language development, and psychological assessment. Her research has explored teacher consultation strategies, the learning impacts of chronic illnesses in children, and effective bullying prevention strategies in schools. Dr. Cunningham has worked in the public school system as a school psychologist and in a private practice clinic setting. Currently in her clinical work, Dr. Cunningham provides comprehensive psychological assessments for children and teens. Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide spectrum, including ADHD, autism, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her goal is to help families with early identification and evidence-based intervention strategies for their children.
