Our students and faculty thrive at the intersection of art, science, policy, humanities and technology. Our work benefits people everywhere, whether it’s helping communities embrace diversity, understanding human emotion, instituting lasting policy changes or beautifying the world with creative efforts.
Your gift today will help us build a healthier, happier society, sustain economic growth and create a more equitable world.
Some of the key initiatives that need your help include the exciting new Arts and Education Complex, or scholarships for CLA students. And don’t forget that your gift on Dam Proud Day will be doubled thanks the generous matches and challenges below!
Matches and Challenges:
1 to 1 match for CLA programs
The first $5,000 donated for any program in College of Liberal Arts will be matched by Tony '87 and Cindi Williams with a gift to the CLA Dean’s Fund for Excellence, which supports the entire College.
Double your gift to the Arts & Education Complex!
In honor of their 50th reunion, the Class of 1969 will match Giving Day contributions to the new OSU Arts and Education Complex up to a total of $69,000. Scheduled to open in 2022, the OSU Arts and Education Complex will provide stunning new facilities for music, theatre and art programs. Like the Valley Library, the MU and Reser Stadium, new arts facilities will benefit every student on campus and will also create powerful arts experiences for K12 students and communities we serve across Oregon.
Creative Writing Program Challenge
Once the Creative Writing Program receives 10 donations, the family of former faculty member Ehud Havazelet will provide $1,000 to support our MFA students.
CLA Scholarship Challenge
Scholarships make college possible for so many of our students and help prepare them to leads lives of achievement after graduation. Every $1,000 of scholarships is equal to more than 100 hours of work at $10/hour. That’s 100 more hours that students can study, practice and make the most of their time at OSU. The first 50 gifts to support scholarships in the CLA will unlock a $1,000 contribution from the family of Kelly Bacon '72 for a CLA scholarship.
