CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce SPS Major, Andrzej Hughes-Murray has been named as October Student-Athlete of the Month.

Hughes-Murray, a junior studying psychology, has started all six games at linebacker for the OSU football team this season. He has recorded 13 tackles and a quarterback hurry in 2018. Hughes-Murray is planning a career as a psychologist after his football days are done.  He was a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection as a sophomore in 2017.

Student-athletes are selected each month and are coordinated by the Academics for Student-Athletes staff.

The Oregon State football team was on bye last week and returns to action Saturday, Oct. 20 against California.
