Make the most of your Liberal Arts education in this small, dynamic program with numerous opportunities for student and community engagement. Here at OSU Theatre we offer a variety of courses in history, literature, performance, and design where students engage in the theory and practice of theatre with hands-on experiences.

Our students develop their own artistic sensibilities while gaining a greater appreciation for the performing arts. We welcome and encourage students from all areas of the University to audition, participate in our productions, and enroll in our courses regardless of their area of study.

We have two primary performance spaces and offer five season productions each academic year. Our larger Main Stage Theatre in Withycombe Hall seats 351 patrons and presents faculty-directed productions ranging from familiar classics to world premieres. The Withycombe Hall Lab Theatre is reserved primarily for student-produced work including the Spring One-Act Festival.

From our student organization, Masque and Dagger, to our ongoing summer Shakespeare series, Bard in the Quad, there are year-long opportunities to engage in the performing arts at OSU.
