Marisa Krauter, MS
Marisa is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Health Psychology and the lab manager of the Disability and Social Interaction Lab. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Social Change at San Diego State University. Her research focuses on ableism from a strength-based and intersectional perspective. She studies how stigma and discrimination impact psychosocial outcomes among people with disabilities broadly, as well as how these processes uniquely affect specific subgroups such as individuals with facial differences.
Helen Lee
Helen (she/her/hers) is a first-year Ph.D. student in Health Psychology. She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Disability Studies from Chapman University. Her research area encompasses disability, stigma, and mental health. Specifically, she is interested in examining the experiences of structural and internalized stigma in individuals with disabilities, the mental health outcomes of stigma, and the intersectionality of disability with other social identities.
Melissa Shang
Melissa is a first-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Harvard University. Her research focuses on mental health disparities and barriers to mental health treatment experienced by people with disabilities.
