Norborne Berkeley Scholarship
The School of History, Philosophy, and Religion is pleased to announce The Norborne Berkeley Scholarship. This scholarship is an annual award of up to $3,000, renewable up to a maximum of four years. The scholarship will be awarded to an Oregon resident and incoming history major on the Corvallis campus who has demonstrated financial need and who is in the first generation of their family to attend a four-year college or university. Incoming freshmen and transfer students are both eligible. The School of History, Philosophy, and Religion anticipates that students who receive this scholarship will continue to receive it for four years (or less if the student is a transfer student), though the award is subject to annual departmental review of each student's performance, and contingent on the student remaining a history major, including a double major.
FMI, please contact Dr. Rena Lauer at Rena.Lauer@oregonstate.edu.

The scholarship will be awarded one time per year to a philosophy major who graduated from an Oregon high school and is either an incoming freshman or an incoming transfer student at OSU. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated high financial need and who are in the first generation of their family to attend a four-year college or university.

Hovland Travel Scholarship
The School of History, Philosophy and Religion is pleased to announce the Warren Hovland Travel Scholarship. This $500 scholarship is designed to help enable Religious Studies majors and minors to participate in study abroad programs. Multiple scholarships will be awarded each year, depending on the number of eligible students. If there are more eligible students than can be funded, priority will be given to those students who have demonstrated financial need and who are participating in a program that focuses on religion.
