Movie & Mindfulness: A Cloud Never Dies
Wednesday, May 25
6:30-7:45 P.M. in LINC 200
Free & Open to ALL
On January 22, 2022, Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Han passed away at the age of 95, leaving an incredible legacy of mindfulness teachings, peace activism, and community. Filmmakers Max Pugh and Marc Francis have produced a poignant, 30-minute film about Thich Nhat Han’s (AKA Thay's) life work. In honor and celebration of Thay's life, APIDA heritage month and Mental Health Promotion month, OSU’s Asian & Pacific Cultural Center (APCC), Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), and Contemplative Studies Initiative (CSI) have partnered to share an opportunity to view the short film A Cloud Never Dies followed by a 20-minute guided meditation with Thay himself. Time to connect in with the broader mindfulness community will follow, and each participant is invited to take home a unique keepsake. This event is free and open to all. Be sure to register to save your spot! Walk-ins permitted space allowing.
