Many of the visual art courses at Oregon State take place outside of the studio. Learning, discovery, and engagement is fundamental to OSU’s mission as a land-grant university. Our classroom includes the entire state of Oregon and beyond. Art courses at OSU include a Road Trip photography course that explores the back-roads of the Western States, a creative field research camping trip where participants engage with the natural environment, culture, and history of the Oregon Coast, and a trip to visit museums in New York City.
