In his role as Vice Provost for Student Affairs, Dan Larson provides senior strategic leadership and oversight of programs designed to provide an outstanding student experience and ensure student success, including co-curricular academic achievement and progress programs and student life programs and services. He oversees fraternity and sorority life and student conduct, diversity programming and the cultural centers, student leadership and involvement programs, counseling and health services, career development, international student support services, housing and dining, recreational sports, and the student union. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Oregon State College (now Western Oregon University) and a master’s degree in College Student Services and Administration from Oregon State University, and has held several leadership roles at OSU, including Associate Vice Provost and Interim Dean of Student Life, Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director of University Housing and Dining Services, and Interim Director of Facilities Services. Dan Larson's assistant is Erin Wirkkala.
