Beyond OSU
Personal Interests:

In all the courses that I teach, the aim is to help students develop a fun-loving attitude and respect for the activity while developing the technical and physical skills to enjoy continued participation through life.

I do a lot of international service travel, primarily as a Habitat for Humanity Global Village Team Leader. I also teach university courses on the subject. When I’m not globe trekking, seeking out culturally rich experiences (and often when I am), I listen to jazzy/funky/rootsy/rockin’/R&B/soul-infused music, watch all sorts of world-engaged sporting events (the World Cup and the Olympics — Summer & Winter — are holidays in my house), and try to connect to the underlying cultural meanings of those kinds of sporting and musical expressions.
