Biography

Erin O'Shea Sneller is the events and communications manager for the College of Liberal Arts, providing vision and leadership for the management and promotion of all events across the college. As a member of the CLA marketing and communications team, Sneller works to assure that CLA events align with the strategic goals and brand/image of the college and university. She also represents CLA broadly across the university and in the Corvallis community, forming relationships and working to elevate and advocate for arts and culture. Prior to holding this position, Sneller was the marketing and communications manager for the School of Arts and Communication, where she led marketing efforts and event coordination for art, music, speech communication, digital communication arts, graphic design and theatre. She also coordinated the SAC Presents performing arts series and promoted the College of Liberal Arts' American Strings series. In 2018 Sneller was the recipient of the Carolyn Maresh Professional Staff Award in the College of Liberal Arts. Prior to her position with SAC and CLA, she served for 12 years as the publicist and events coordinator for the music department and coordinated the Music a' la Carte Concert Series. Prior to working at Oregon State, she was the administrative coordinator at Old Mill Center for Children and Families in Corvallis, and also served as the director of alumni relations at City University of Seattle, Washington.

Sneller holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration from City University. She is originally from Kansas, and spent eight years living in Seattle prior to moving to Oregon. Sneller has been active as a volunteer and advocate for the arts in Corvallis and has held positions on the board of directors for da Vinci Days, the Benton County Cultural Coalition,  the Corvallis-OSU Symphony, Corvallis-Piano International, and Visit Corvallis. Erin lives in Corvallis with her husband Steve and their beloved rescue dog. They have two adult children who attended OSU. Beyond work Sneller enjoys flat water kayaking, cooking, gardening, hiking and attending live performances.
