Hey! My name is Otis Eads and I am originally from Eagle River Alaska. I first became interested in psychology when I started attending my high school’s college dual enrollment program and needed to pick a future major. I wanted to pursue a field that I was passionate about but also one that was equally useful and achievable. Naturally, the scientific study of people and their personal interactions with each other and the world around them seemed right up my alley. Now, I am an honors psychology major with minors in leadership and biology focused on pursuing clinical psychology in the future. I am also a research assistant in the Sleep Health Assessment Intervention and Dissemination (SHAID) lab under the supervision of Dr. Jessee Dietch PhD DBSM. I am also a member of Psi Chi, the psychology honors society. For my honors thesis, I will be working on a qualitative survey to determine the population of lucid dreamers here at OSU and the directionality of lucid dreaming on day’s events. Outside of school, I have almost too many outdoor hobbies ranging from hiking, to skiing, to paddle boarding, to scuba diving. I also spend a lot of time playing table top games such as Dungeons and Dragons and plenty of videogames.
