We get excited every year to welcome a new cohort of graduate students to Moreland Hall, and next year’s MA and MFA students bring an especially vibrant mix of experiences. Among our incoming MAs is a student joining us from Bangladesh, alongside a graduate of our BA in English program and another with a family connection to the university dating back to the 1980’s. On the MFA side, we’re joined by a widely published multimodal artist who has lived and taught across the U.S. and in France, a Detroit-based poet balancing family life with deep literary community roots, a first-generation college student whose award-winning work is shaped by a love of nature, and a Brooklyn writer supported by a major fellowship with a flair for the eclectic. We’re also welcoming artists working across theater, science communication, and literary organizing, with connections stretching from the Midwest to New York and Mexico City. A warm welcome to each of you. We can’t wait to meet you this fall!
