General Advising for World Languages and Cultures (WLC)

To declare a minor or major in one of the WLC programs, visit the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) advising office in Gilkey 213.  Also plan to meet with your WLC advisor to make sure you understand the requirements of the major or minor and discuss your academic, personal and career goals.

The language program advisor will assist you with placement in the right language class; help you navigate prerequisites; answer questions related to transfer credits and study abroad programs; and connect you with other resources.  Majors must meet with an advisor by the end of spring quarter in order to receive a registration PIN for the following academic year.  More frequent meetings with your advisor throughout your studies will assure that you stay on track.  In addition to language advising, students should meet with their College of Liberal Arts advisor for advising related to the Liberal Arts and Baccalaureate Core requirements.
