Research/Career Interests: 

My teaching and research focus on the History of Human Rights, Global Women's Movements, Masculinities & Feminisms, Feminist Masculinities, Modern Germany, and Digital Pedagogy.  My current book project charts the modernization of gender relationships in Imperial Germany through an exploration of German men’s engagement with organized feminism and the so-called “Woman Question.”

I have received grants and awards from the Central European History Society, German Historical Institute, Clough Center for the Study of Democracy, Women in German, and the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD).
