Honors and Awards

Frances Dancy Hooks Award, 2014: “The award recognizes those who exemplify Hooks’ work -- building bridges across cultures, showing courage in promoting diversity, and proudly ‘Walking the Talk.’  The award is presented annually by the University President in conjunction with the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Breakfast.”

Best Course of Year Award (2005 – 2006) from the students of the OSU Sociology Club, for SOC 399: Environmental Justice: Movement, Theory, and Change.
