Application deadlines vary. Funding is awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year  

Eligibility: 

  • Current undergraduate and graduate, degree-seeking students at the Corvallis Campus or Ecampus
  • Degree Partnership Program students taking at least 6 credit hours at OSU each term
  • Merit based, need based and activity based scholarships

Tom and Pat Gallagher Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Benton County Public High School graduate
  • Current sophomore, junior or senior OSU student studying in the College of Liberal Arts
  • Cumulative GPA 3.25 or higher
  • Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need and outstanding academic achievement

Dean's Scholarship in the Liberal Arts

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time student pursuing any major in CLA
  • Academic achievement of a student in the top 10% of their class
  • Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need

Dean's Award for Service

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time student pursuing any major in CLA
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • Exceptional service to their fellow students in CLA and at OSU
    • Examples of exceptional service include:
      • exemplary work as a peer advisor, peer mentor or tutor
      • volunteering or other leadership with campus service groups such as OSU Food Bank, clubs, or cultural centers
      • other services to the OSU community

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time students pursuing any major in CLA

Eligibility:

  • Full time undergraduate student pursuing any major in CLA

Jane Chadwell Powell Opportunity Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time undergraduate students pursuing any major in CLA
  • Demonstrated financial need

Kelly G. Bacon Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Current students pursuing any major in CLA
  • Resident of Oregon
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Planning to pursue a career in local, state, and/or national government service
  • Preference given to students with documented volunteer experience in community service activities

Lisa Taubman Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full time undergraduate students pursuing any major in CLA
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Have earned at least 45 credits
  • US citizen or permanent resident
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Preference given to students from a small Oregon town with a population of less than 10,000 inhabitants

Genevieve Andrews Pershke Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Liberal Studies/Education major
  • Preference given to students with proven financial need

George and Louise Beaudreau Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time students pursuing any major in CLA
  • Preference given to students:
    • pursuing a major in School of VPDA or School of Communication
    • with demonstrated financial need

Nicolas J. and Thea Yonker Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time students pursuing a major in any of the following CLA majors:
    • English, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or Psychology
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Preference given to students with demonstrated leadership, creativity and commitment to community service

David Morgan Kiekel Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time student pursuing an International Studies degree in combination with any primary major in CLA
  • Proven financial need
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

Mary Alice Wartman Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time undergraduate students pursuing an International Studies degree in combination with any major in CLA
  • Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time undergraduate students pursuing a degree in International Studies

The Oregon Consular Corps (OCC) Scholarship Fund 

        Eligibility:

  • Any undergraduate student who can articulate the international dimensions of their major and/or their international career goals after graduation
  • Junior or Senior year class standing (90+ quarter credit hours)
  • Full time in 2025-26 school year
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

        Eligibility: 

  • Sophomore or Junior OSU student
  • Demonstrated leadership, public service and commitment to issues related to American Indian Nations or to the environment 
  • NOTE: Because this scholarship is not restricted to OSU students, it is very competitive and prestigious.

Scholarships for Female Students

 

Corvallis Woman's Club Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Female graduate of a Benton County Public School
  • Current junior or senior college student 
  • Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Preference given to students with active roles in their community via volunteering, civic engagement and/or 'getting things done'

Female Veteran Grateful Nation Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Female OSU-Corvallis or DPP undergraduate or graduate student
  • Has served in one of the armed branches of US Military since 9/10/01
  • Has received honorable or general under honorable discharge from the service
  • Has completed 18 semester/24 quarter hours of academic courses at an accredited institution
  • Has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Katherine F. and Edward H. Heath Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled female OSU or LBCC/OSU DPP undergraduate student
  • Resumed their studies after a minimum of a one year break (could be between high school and college)
  • Demonstrated interest in working to improve legal, political, economic, educational, health or professional status of women, or
  • Demonstrated willingness to work in a job or profession involving the welfare of children and women
  • Enrolled in at least 9 credits/term and making satisfactory progress
  • Currently reside in Oregon
  • Preference given to older than average students with family responsibilities and demonstrated financial need

Scholarships for Studying Abroad

 

Jack Van de Water Study Abroad Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Full or part time students studying any major in CLA
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Will be participating in study abroad program for 2025-26 academic year
  • Preference given to students:
    • pursuing an International Studies Major
    • with proven financial need
    • participating in a program providing instruction in a language other than English
    • from Oregon communities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants

Eligibility:

  • Citizen or national of the US
  • Undergraduate college student in good standing
  • Pell Grant recipient
  • Accepted or in the process of applying for a study abroad program

William Harrison Gill Education Fund

Eligibility: 

  • OSU student of Native American descent
  • American citizen with permanent or guardian residence in AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, or WY
  • Demonstrated financial need

Kilbuck Family Native American Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Enrolled full time at OSU
  • 1/16 enrolled or documented tribal affiliation
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Preference given to OR or AK high school graduates

David W. Schacht Native American Student Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • OSU students with Native American descent, defined as self-identified individuals with tribal affiliation
  • Demonstrated academic progress and ability
  • Demonstrated financial need

Helen J. and Harold Gilman Smith Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Preference given to Native American students who graduated from an American Indian High School
  • Pursuing first undergraduate or graduate degree in any field of study
  • Demonstrated desire to complete a post-secondary education with strong focus on professional goals
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Demonstrated financial need

Scholarships for Students who have Overcome Challenges

 

General Zonta Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Current OSU students who have resumed their studies after a minimum of a one year break (could be between high school and college)
  • Demonstrated interest in working to improve legal, political, economic, educational, health or professional status of women, or
  • Demonstrated willingness to work in a job or profession involving the welfare of children and women
  • Enrolled in at least 9 credits/term and making satisfactory progress
  • Currently reside in Oregon
  • Preference given to older than average students with family responsibilities and demonstrated financial need

The Resilience Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Students who have endured and overcome traumatic experiences (see scholarship details for definition of traumatic experiences)
  • Students with demonstrated financial need
  • Preference given to students who have received residential treatment at Children's Farm Home or inpatient treatment at similar facilities

The Tailwinds Fund

Eligibility:

  • Students who have experienced personal hardship, and have endured and overcome trauma as a child/teen
  • Plan to use their education to improve/create systems for others who are experiencing similar adversity

Hugh and Helen Wood Nepalese Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • OSU students who are current citizens of Nepal 
  • Agree to become a public servant in Nepal for at least 5 years following graduation
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Secondary consideration given to African American students provided no Nepalese applicants meet requirements
