Background/Research Interests:
Damien Weaver was born in West Texas, stationed in California and overseas with the U.S. Air Force, and worked as a news reporter in New York City before attending graduate school. His research focuses primarily on jazz and blues literature. He is particularly interested in the musicality of texts on a formal level, as well as the subjectivity of time, rhythm, and narrative in the mind of the reader.
