Research/Career Interests
I am a scholar of American religious history, with particular interests in gender, social reform, and the history of white supremacy. In addition to teaching courses for Religious Studies and History, I also teach honors colloquia for the OSU Honors College.
Between 2020 and 2023, I served as a historical consultant for the Corvallis School District, as the superintendent and school board were considering whether to change the names of some of the public schools.
I received my B.A. at Penn State, where I was part of the Schreyer Honors College. Following my time at Penn State, I received an MPhil at the University of Cambridge and then returned to the United States to study in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where I ultimately received a PhD in American Studies from Harvard University.
