Research/Career Interests

Susan Jackson Rodgers is currently serving as Associate Dean of the OSU Honors College.

Her teaching and research interests include the craft of the short story, the coming-of-age narrative, the linked short-story collection, and collage. She is the author of the novel, This Must Be the Place and two collections of stories:  Ex-Boyfriend on Aisle 6 and The Trouble With You Is, which won the Mid-List Press First Series Award for Short Fiction. Her stories and essays have appeared in journals such as New England Review, Prairie Schooner, Glimmer Train, Quick Fiction, StoryQuarterly, Brevity, River Teeth, and North American Review.  She received her B.A. from Bowdoin College, her M.A. from Kansas State University, and her M.F.A. from the Bennington College Writing Seminars.
