The New Media Game Lab is an operation of the School of Communication and Media. Our lab includes open hours for student free-play, support for class play experiences, and research. We have a wide variety of games and systems, ranging from the Sega Genesis through the Nintendo Switch, board games, and computers for indie game research. Beyond pushing buttons, we also have a number of alternative interfaces including eye tracking, and other physiological measurement systems.
We are currently closed due to the pandemic, and look forward to reopening at some point in the future.
In the mean time, students affiliated with the Director continue to conduct research projects under the auspices of the lab in a variety of areas including augmented reality and cultural analytics.
If you have questions about this lab or would like to assign student experiences here, please contact lab director, Dr. Daniel Faltesek.
