There is no specific pre-law major program at OSU. Students wanting to be competitive candidates for admission to law school should pursue undergraduate studies—in whichever major they choose—that help develop strong analytical thinking skills, critical thinking skills, logical reasoning skills, and written and oral communication skills. Certain majors and specific courses may be of particular use to students considering a career in law. The School of Public Policy offers pre-law advising to students of all majors. The Pre-Law advisor is available to discuss this and other issues relevant to pre-law students. The College of Liberal Arts also offers a pre-law guide to law school through their website.
To receive email updates about law related events and resources on campus, please subscribe to the pre-law email listserv http://lists.oregonstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/law.
