A production in the OSU lab theatre

The Lab Theatre, completed in June 1996, continues to entertain the public with smaller productions, performances in oral interpretation, workshops, and seminars. The Lab Theatre not only presents delightful performances open to the Public, but also provides highly effective classroom space for Theatre Arts students.

Purposes & Goals of the Lab Theatre

The Lab Theatre offers an alternative theatre venue to the Withycombe Main Stage. Productions in the Lab are primarily student-oriented, designed so that participants gain experience in the practical aspects of production and offer a forum for artistic expression.

Experimentation in new forms and methods of dramatic production, as well as discovery of the intricacies of more traditional approaches, is encouraged.
