Kraft Scholarship
Awards To Be Given for 2025-2026
The Walter and Rose Kraft Award was established in 2016 to honor the achievements of OSU graduating seniors who are majoring in German. This year, the award will provide $1000 in scholarship funds to each of three (3) graduating seniors majoring in German.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- German major
- Senior status
- 2023 graduation date
To be considered, applications must include:
- A short cover letter addressed to the “Selection Committee” and including your name and email address.
- A written reflection on your experience learning German (300 words).
- A 60-second video telling the committee what you hope to do after graduation and what role German will play in your future. Written reflection and video must be in German.
Please send all materials to Helen Wilhelm in the World Languages and Cultures office ([email protected]) by 12:00 PM May 5, 2025. Late applications will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed by members of the German faculty, and scholarship recipients will be announced by May 12, 2025.
