Ensembles & Festivals

Music majors and non-music majors may learn and share their talents by participating in one or more of our many performance ensembles. Auditioned and non-auditioned ensembles are available and open to all students on campus.

Choirs (auditioned and non-auditioned)
Three hundred participants … five choirs … the opportunity to travel … an instant community. At OSU there is a choir for every singer with every level of vocal ability.

Opera Workshop (auditioned)
Opportunities abound through OSU Opera Workshop’s scenes and full-scale musical performances.

OSU Bands (auditioned and non-auditioned)
Established in 1891, Oregon State University’s Band Program is the oldest in the PAC-12. With more than 500 students participating and nearly all academic majors on campus represented, OSU Bands is the largest band program in the state and the Northwest. These include OSU Concert Bands and the Marching Band.

Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra (auditioned)
This 100-member orchestra, now in its 113th consecutive season, draws from Oregon State University students and faculty, community members and professional musicians.

Chamber Music Opportunities
Experienced student musicians of all levels, including music majors and non-music majors, have many opportunities to practice and perform in small ensembles. Music department and student-directed wind, jazz, and percussion ensembles are available, as are string and piano ensembles.
