When should I schedule an advising appointment?

We suggest students meet with their advisor twice a year. Registration PINs change every fall term and are issued to students in spring term.

An easy way to remember to schedule an advising appointment is to think of Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and May Day.

COVID-19 Update

All advising appointments with be through Zoom or over the phone. Your advisor will send you a Zoom link or call you (the number may show as "unknown" or "no caller ID") at your scheduled appointment time.

Prospective students or those who are not current OSU students will need to email the School of Psychological Science or call 541-737-2311 to schedule an appointment. 

New Transfer Students for Fall 2020

Transfer students starting OSU in Corvallis for fall 2020 will need to go through OSU's START Orientation Program. Once you complete the psychology survey an SPS advisor will reach out to you via email to schedule your appointment. 

*First-year students will meet with the College of Liberal Arts Student Services Advisors.

Where is SPS Advising located?

We are located in Reed Lodge at the cross streets of 29th and Jefferson Way. Reed Lodge is currently closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Are drop-in appointments available?

At this time drop-ins are determined by each advisor and students will be notified via email. 

Will you meet with prospective students?

Yes, prospective students can email SPS to make an appointment.
