Student Registration: Like completing your degree, there are a few steps to complete:

  • Registration opens April 15 and closes June 2. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates.
  • You MUST pre-register to participate.
  • Check-in at Gill Coliseum on Thursday, June 11 between 6-6:30 p.m.
  • Please contact [email protected] at least two weeks in advance should you or our guest need any special accommodations outside of what is indicated
     

Other important details about SPS’s Graduation Celebration:

  • Students graduating in summer 2025, fall 2025, winter 2026, spring 2026 and summer 2026 are invited to participate. 
  • Students are encouraged to attend the School Celebration on June 11 and the University Commencement Ceremony on June 13. Diplomas are only awarded at the university ceremony on June 13.
  • For Undergraduates: Attire is semi-formal/business casual, graduation caps and gowns are encouraged but not required. Caps and gowns can be purchased from the Beaver Store, or borrow one from a friend.
  • For Graduates: Required to wear, cap, gown, and a hood.

Information for guests:

  • Doors open around 6:00 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.
  • The Clear Bag policy will be enforced. More information. If you bring a purse or bag that is not on
    the approved bag list, you will be asked to return the bag to your car.
  • Do NOT bring these items to Gill:
    • Balloons – minimum fine of $150/balloon
    • Wrapped gifts
    • Alcohol/drugs
  • Please be advised, this is an athletics venue. Guest seating is not built for comfort.
  • This is a public event. Participants may be photographed/videoed.
  • There are no concessions during the graduation ceremony. Unopened bottled water is permitted.
  • Parking permits are required Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in A, B, or C lots, as well as in any ADA-accessible space. Do not park in R1/R2 lots.
